Story Behind the Brand

Emily Greaves is the designer & creator behind Nāmaka. Working between her studios in Newcastle/Mulibinba Land in Australia and Bali, Indonesia, Emily meticulously handcrafts each unique piece personally.

Nāmaka draws inspiration from organic formations found in nature, juxtaposed with images of nostalgic decadence, creating exciting yet considered collections intended to be worn in everyday life.

Nāmaka is built on an ethos of slow made jewellery. Producing works in small batches and promoting bespoke services, recycling materials, repurposing heirlooms and vintage jewellery to give new life to otherwise discarded items.

Nāmaka Made Jewellery Care Guide

To extend the life of your nāmaka made pieces, avoid wear while exercising, swimming or showering.

For pearl, opal and mother of pearl pieces take care as high acidity substances perfume, alcohol lotions, certain soaps and may corrode the surface and lustre of the gems and precious metal hardware.

Use a slightly damp soft microfibre or cotton cloth to buff and polish your pieces and store in a soft jewellery pouch to keep it free from chips and scratches.
